Giulia Nuti (Rucellai Virginal, ca. 1590)

Op het prachtige Italiaanse Rucellai virginaal, gebouwd rond 1575, heeft klaveciniste Giulia Nuti voor ARCANA meesterwerken opgenomen uit de gouden eeuw van de Engelse muziek voor klavierinstrumenten in de late 16e en vroege 17e eeuw. Het zeer gevarieerde programma bevat werken van de grootste componisten uit die tijd, zoals John Dowland, William Byrd of John Tomkins.

Deze opname breidt Giulia Nuti's oeuvre van veelgeprezen opnames op historische klavecimbels uit; haar solorecital Le Coeur et l'oreille: Manuscript Bauyn (Arcana, 2017), opgenomen op het klavecimbel gebouwd door Louis Denis in 1658, werd bekroond met de Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik.
