Met deel II voltooit Francesco Corti zijn vorig jaar begonnen opname van de klavecimbelconcerten van Johann Sebastian Bach en weet hij het hoge niveau vast te houden. Net als in Volume I (PTC 5186837) maakt de Italiaan indruk met een letterlijk ongehoorde mengeling van bijna elektronen-microscopisch nauwkeurige analyse, waarbij alle structuren worden blootgelegd, en met een nimmer aflatende speelvreugde.

Francesco Corti behoort tot de meest gevestigde klavecinisten van zijn generatie en brengt na zijn debuut op het label in 2020 zijn tweede PENTATONE Bach klavecimbelconcertenalbum uit. Hij werkt samen met het meermaals bekroonde Ensemble Il pomo d'oro, dat ook twee vocale recitalalbums opnam met PENTATONE: Carnevale 1729 met Ann Hallenberg (2017), evenals Prologue met Francesca Aspromonte (2018).
