Peter Jablonski (piano)

Dit album markeert Peter Jablonski's debuut voor het Ondine label. Alexander Scriabin (18721915) creëerde een indrukwekkende catalogus van werken voor piano en werd een van de grote vernieuwers van de muziek van de 20e eeuw. In zijn vroege werken bespeurt de luisteraar de grote bewondering van de componist voor de kunst van Frédéric Chopin. Dit komt vooral tot uiting in de meer dan 20 Mazurka's die Scriabin schreef voor de solo-piano, dezelfde vorm van muziek die Chopin tijdens zijn actieve jaren als componist volgde. Jablonski's album bevat alle Mazurka's van Scriabin met een opusnummer en twee vroege Mazurka's.
