Bach Goldberg Variations

Lars Vogt (piano)

Pianist Lars Vogt presenteert een van de klassieke werken uit het barokrepertoire: de beroemde Goldbergvariaties van Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750).

Oorspronkelijk geschreven voor klavecimbel, belichamen de Goldbergvariaties, gepubliceerd in 1741, een Aria met 30 variaties en een coda. Bach schreef het werk voor Johann Gottlieb Goldberg, die, zoals het verhaal zegt, vaak muziek speelde als remedie tegen de slapeloosheid van graaf Kaiserling. Blijkbaar was het werk een van de successen die Bach tijdens zijn leven boekte en werd het ook tijdens zijn leven gepubliceerd.

Lars Vogt werd in 2003/2004 door de Berliner Philharmoniker benoemd tot allereerste ‘Pianist in Residence’ en geniet een grote bekendheid als solist en kamermuzikant.
