De muziek van Jan Novák is op zichzelf al bijzonder en opmerkelijk. Deze opname geeft het echter een soort zegel van authenticiteit, omdat de solopartijen niet alleen worden gespeeld door de pianist Karel Košárek, maar ook door de twee dochters van de componist, Clara Nováková en Dora Novak-Wilmington. De deelname van het Praags Radio Symfonie Orkest en de kenmerkende muzikaliteit van de gerenommeerde dirigent Tomáš Netopil helpen de drie solisten om Nováks kleurrijke en indrukwekkende muzikale landschap op een allround overtuigende manier te creëren.
