Beethoven/Wagner/Verdi

Lise Davidsen (soprano) & London Philharmonic Orchestra, Mark Elder

Lise Davidsen toont opnieuw haar veelzijdigheid met haar tweede album "Beethoven - Wagner - Verdi" samen met het Londens Philharmonisch Orkest onder leiding van Sir Mark Elder. Met het tijdens lockdown opgenomen repertoire brengt zij hulde aan enkele van de grote heldinnen uit de Duitse en Italiaanse opera: Verdi's Leonora uit La forza del destino, Cherubini's Medea en Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana. Niet alleen de opname van de aria "Abscheulicher! Wo eilst du hin?" van Leonore uit Fidelio, maar ook haar signatuurstuk, de vijf "Wesendonck Lieder" van Richard Wagner, zijn echte hoogtepunten van haar nieuwe album.
