Cyrillus Kreek - the Suspended Harp of Babel

Op hun nieuwe album The Suspended Harp of Babel presenteert het Estse vocale ensemble Vox Clamantis koorwerken van Cyrillus Kreek (1889-1962) die fascineren door hun boeiende klank. Deze zettingen van psalmen en volksliederen van de Estse componist zijn lange tijd een insidertip gebleven. Ze zijn opgenomen in de Kerk van de Transfiguratie van de Heer in Tallinn. De koorwerken worden aangevuld met instrumentale fantasieën en intermezzo's door een nyckelharpa/kantele trio onder leiding van Marco Ambrosini.
