Met de feestelijke jubel van Cantate 43 "O ewiges Feuer, o Ursprung der Liebe", geschreven voor Pinksteren 1727, maar teruggrijpend op een eerdere huwelijkscantate, opent Aflevering 48 van de geprezen serie. De jubelstemming keert terug in de afsluitende cantate "Gott, man lobet dich in der Stille", gecomponeerd voor de feestelijke dienst voor de raadsverkiezingen in Leipzig. Maar het programma bevat ook momenten van contemplatie en stille schoonheid, zoals het beroemde altaarstuk "Ich will dich all mein Leben lang" uit Cantate 117, hier intiem gezongen door alt Robin Blaze. Cantate 98 biedt nog een ontroerende aria: "Hört, ihr Augen, auf zu weinen", vertolkt door de slanke sopraan Hana Blazikova, inmiddels ook een vaste "waarde" in deze serie.
