Samuel Marino stond al als solist op Europese podia. In 2017/18 won hij de interpretatieprijs op de Opéra de Marseille International Singing Competition en de publieksprijs op de Neue Stimmen-competitie in Gütersloh. In 2018 maakte hij zijn operadebuut op het Händelfestival in Halle in de opera Berenice, waarbij hij de rol van Alessandro zong. Zijn sensationele optreden leidde tot verschillende nominaties voor Best New Artist door het tijdschrift Opernwelt. Hij zal ook te zien zijn in de Händel Festspiele 2020 als Teseo in de gelijknamige opera.
