In de tweede aflevering van zijn opnameserie maakt Mario Brunello Bachs zes sonates voor viool en obbligato klavecimbel toegankelijk voor de violoncello piccolo. De klank van het instrument verleent de beroemde stukken een amberkleurige tint die dicht bij de menselijke stem komt, vooral in de langzame delen. Tegelijkertijd fascineert Brunello met de verhoogde expressiviteit van de fugatische bewegingen.
