CELLO SONATAS

Truls Mork (cello) & Havard Gimse (piano)

De grote Noorse cellist Truls Mork presenteert hier met zijn vaste pianopartner Havard Gimse een even opmerkelijke als soevereine terugkeer naar de kamermuziek. Op het programma van deze zeer welkome opname op ALPHA CLASSICS staan werken van Claude Debussy en Leos Janacek naast de twee Engelse componisten Benjamin Britten en zijn leermeester Frank Bridge. Drie van de vier hier voorgestelde werken zijn gecomponeerd kort voor of tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog, die op een of andere manier zijn stempel op de muziek heeft gedrukt.
