Mozart: Anime Immortali

Countertenor Franco Fagioli maakt zijn Pentatone-debuut met Anime Immortali, samen met het Basel Chamber Orchestra, en verkent de muziek die Mozart componeerde voor castrati. De opgenomen werken, variërend van opera tot gewijde muziek en met als hoogtepunt Exsultate, jubilate, hebben een subliem en diepgaand karakter dat Mozarts sterke band met de castraatstem aantoont. Met dit album keert Fagioli eindelijk terug naar de componist die zijn verlangen om musicus te worden in zijn jeugd aanwakkerde.

Franco Fagioli is een van de meest gerespecteerde countertenoren van dit moment en maakt zijn debuut bij Pentatone. Het Basel Chamber Orchestra keert terug op het label na het opnemen van Haydns Stabat Mater (2022) met René Jacobs.
