Onder zijn chef-dirigent Alexander Liebreich is het Nationaal Symfonieorkest van de Poolse Radio uitgegroeid tot het toonaangevende ensemble van het land en een van de belangrijkste Europese radio-orkesten. Als cultureel ambassadeur onderscheidt het traditie-rijke orkest zich in het bijzonder met uitvoeringen van Poolse componisten, zoals deze cd-serie met werken van Karol Szymanowski en Witold Lutoslawski op indrukwekkende wijze aantoont. De driedelige cyclus kreeg unanieme lof van internationale critici en werd in 2017 bekroond met de International Classical Music Award voor "Best Collection". Nu worden alle drie de CD's uitgebracht in een gezamenlijke box set.
