Vivaldi: La Senna Festeggiante

Vivaldi had blijkbaar uitstekende betrekkingen met de Franse ambassade in Venetië, want er werden verschillende belangrijke werken geschreven voor de regelmatige festiviteiten aldaar, waaronder de Serenata La Senna festeggiante (De feestelijke Seine) RV 693 in 1726 voor de toetreding van Lodewijk XV na het einde van het Régence. Deze meest uitgebreide van Vivaldi's overgeleverde serenates is een prachtig eerbetoon aan de jonge Franse koning. Uitstekende solisten en Diego Fasolis met het briljante Orchestre de l'Opéra Royal verlenen dit kleine meesterwerk een waarlijk vorstelijke pracht.
