De in Birmingham geboren Alpesh Chauhan studeerde af aan de Master's Conducting Course aan het RNCM. Hij studeerde bij Stanislaw Skrowaczewski en werd begeleid door Andris Nelsons en Edward Gardner in zijn rol als assistent-dirigent van het CBSO. Alpesh is Associate Conductor van onder andere het BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra en treedt ook regelmatig op als gastdirigent bij gerenommeerde internationale orkesten. Voor zijn debuut bij CHANDOS selecteerde hij een verzameling van Tsjaikovski's Symfonische Fantasieën en de Ouverture en Polonaise uit de opera Cherevichki.
