Kolesnikov heeft er een geheel nieuwe, immens moderne en ronduit tedere benadering van Bachs zielenseismografie in gevonden, die het mogelijk maakt de spirituele diepte ervan op een geheel nieuwe manier te beleven.

‘Intens, emotioneel en puur’, zo omschrijft Pavel Kolesnikov de ervaring met het maken van deze opname van Bach’s Goldberg Variaties, de vruchten van een samenwerking tussen de pianist en choreografe Anne Teresa De  Keersmaeker. De geest van de dans, zo fundamenteel voor Bach, is nooit ver weg op dit meeslepende nieuwe album.

In juli 2021 zal Pavel Kolesnikov samen met het Belgische gezelschap Platform-K de Goldberg Variaties in het kader van Julidans vijf maal naar het podium brengen!
